CanadaTeamwork Motorsport will once again take to the Guangdong International Circuit (GIC) for Rounds 5 and 6 of the Hong Kong Touring Car Championship (HTCC) with its podium-winning Suncity Group-liveried Peugeot RCZs (1-2 May).
Last time out at the GIC earlier this month, Teamwork Motorsport’s trio of drivers showed a great turn of speed in the weekend’s two races to record a brace of podiums in both wet and dry conditions, underlining the Peugeot RCZ’s potential potential.
Making his HTCC debut at Guangdong, Andrew Lo showed true grit and determination to scythe his way through the field and claim a career first podium finish, and will be hoping to replicate that success this weekend.
Paul Poon and Samson Fung, who clinched two fastest laps in both races despite a DNF in Race 2, will continue to fettle the RCZ’s setup this week in preparation for this weekend’s event, where all three drivers are confident that they can challenge for race wins.
Qualifying for Rounds 5 and 6 of the Hong Kong Touring Car Championship (HTCC) is scheduled to get underway at 08.40 (UTC) on Friday (1 May), with the first of two races later that day at 12.55 (UTC). The final race will be at 09.25 the following day (2 May).
Teamwork unveils 2015 CTCC livery
Ahead of the 2015 SINOPEC LUBRICANTS China Touring Car Championship (CTCC) campaign commencing at the Guangdong International Circuit next month (15-17 May), Teamwork Motorsport has revealed the livery it will sport on its heavily upgraded Citroën C-Elysées (below).
With developments to both the Citroen’s engine and aero package, drivers Samuel Hsieh and Sunny Wong will shake down the cars shortly after this weekend’s HTCC event in full preparation for the season ahead, which is expected to be closer than ever following the entry of several manufacturers.
