Team Honda HRC’s Trey Canard scores 5th overall with teammate Cole Seely carded seventh during round 2 of the AMA Pro Motocross championship at Glen Helen Raceway. Canard secured the holeshot aboard his CRF450R before dropping into second during the opening moto.
The Oklahoma native slid out going around the banked Talladega turn on the opening moto causing him to fall back to 15th, he then spent the rest of the remainder of the race charging forward before crossing the line in seventh.
In moto 2, Canard had another very successful start, completing the first lap in 6th. He then moved into third a few laps in but eventually relinquished the position and settled into 4th which is where he would finish.
Teammate Cole Seely enjoyed a solid start in Moto 1 as well and was not far behind his teammate in sixth. On the second lap, he moved into 3rd but slipped back 2 postions into fifth where he maintained that position to the checkered flag.
In Moto 2, Seely was 10th off the line but went down at the bottom the Mt. Saint Helens causing him to lose several positions. He did remount in 15th but spent the remainder of the race pushing to regain as many postions as possible before finally crossing the line in 10th.
